Manor Lords is a strategy game where everyone can feel like a real medieval lord. Develop your starting village and turn it into a big bustling city, manage resources and production chains, capture new lands.

Based on Franconian painting and architecture of the late 14th century, Manor Lords tries to maintain historical accuracy in everything - both in game mechanics and in the external design. The usual medieval images that have become clichés give way to historical accuracy - all for the sake of making the game world more realistic, colorful and believable.
Manor Lords offers you complete freedom of city building - rotate buildings as you like and place them anywhere. The construction mechanics are based on the principles of building real medieval cities and villages, when the formation and development of settlements largely depended on the landscape and the location of important trade routes.

Start with a central market and gradually expand, building residential, commercial and industrial areas in accordance with the natural landscape. Build granaries on fertile soil, choose hunting grounds in wildlife habitats and ensure access to wood and other resources necessary for construction and further development.
Designate residential areas and watch as villagers begin to build their farms in full accordance with the historical feudal land lease system. Each zone will be further divided based on the location of roads and allocated space, and houses will be placed accordingly.
Build additions to your larger homes to provide a source of resources that you can't get in any other way. Homeowners don't just pay taxes: they grow vegetables, raise chickens and goats, and provide themselves and their neighbors with everything they need in addition to what your granaries, pastures, and manufactories produce.
Each season brings new opportunities and new challenges: your subjects must manage to harvest the abundant spring rains and prepare for the harsh winter cold.

From boots to barley, from hides to honey, Manor Lords offers a huge variety of products and goods that are appropriate to the era. Materials must be transported and processed, and production chains must be established to produce goods. Be prepared to decide what is more important to you: satisfying the basic needs of your subjects or creating luxury goods, producing goods for export or weapons and armor for military campaigns.

Resources are scattered all over the map – and to get to them, you will have to expand your holdings and establish specialized settlements. Mining colonies will provide you with valuable ores, and villages specializing in agriculture, cattle breeding and hunting will bring you grain and meat. You will decide where to invest resources: quickly get iron for blacksmiths or first solve the food problem by taking control of regions with fertile soil.
At the same time, uncontrolled expansion will have negative consequences for the environment. Under the pressure of civilization, herds of deer will leave, insufficient crop rotation will make the soil less fertile, and too much tree cutting will lead to the fact that there will be no forests left in your domain.
Sell surplus goods to traveling merchants and create your own trade routes. Producing and exporting quality goods will bring you funds with which you can improve the farms of your citizens and import what you cannot produce yourself. In addition, trade taxes are one of the most profitable items in your personal budget.

Your domain is just a small piece of land in the middle of a vast territory, and rivalries with other lords will inevitably result in armed conflict. When you lead your men into battle, remember that you are not expendable material that can be easily replaced, but your beloved subjects, and every death on the battlefield will have a great cost.

Train experienced warriors who will fight side by side with new recruits from the people's militia. Soldiers will be needed both to fight bandits and to capture and defend territories. If necessary, you can even use the services of mercenaries - although this will not be cheap. If you assemble a militia in response to a threat, the peasants will throw down their pitchforks and hammers - there will be no one to work and the economy will stop, but the hired soldiers will have to be paid out of their own pockets.
Engage in real-time tactical combat, taking into account the fatigue of your soldiers, weather conditions, and equipment. Deploy your troops wisely: with proper leadership, even a small army can defeat a superior enemy.
Feel the cost of war: even victory in battle will bring many casualties from among your soldiers - and therefore, the inhabitants of your city.
