The end of the 14th century. In the world of Going Medieval, it is the Dark Ages. After the plague epidemic, only 5% of the population remained alive, and nature began to reclaim its own. But those who managed to win the fight with death gradually formed a new society. You will have to lead them forward, rebuild their homes and protect people from bandits, barbarians and religious fanatics in a ruined country where there are no classes, no borders, no laws.

- Lay the center of a new life and develop a settlement: from a wooden shack to a majestic stone castle. With simple and clear 3D tools it is very easy to create any landscape elements, be it an underground labyrinth of caves or an impregnable multi-story fort.
- This dark world is full of external threats. Settlements are easy prey for invaders. Prove to your enemies the opposite: build strong defensive structures and place traps. Research and craft weapons and equipment to supply the settlers and repel the attackers.
- It's not just marauders that pose a danger. Hunger and natural disasters can destroy a settlement much faster than invaders, so it's important to stock up and build reliable houses. Watch the emotions of the residents: if they lack something, this will affect the mood of society.
- Growing your population is the key to prosperity. You can increase it in different ways: help strangers in trouble or take in carefree travelers. Each resident has their own story and activities. Get to know your subjects better by observing their behavior and relationships with others.
