Situated in the heart of Europe, Bohemia is renowned for its cultural traditions, silver reserves, and many castles. Following the death of its beloved ruler, Emperor Charles IV, the kingdom has fallen into dark times: war, corruption, and discord are tearing this jewel of the Holy Roman Empire apart.
One of Charles' sons, Wenceslas, has inherited the crown. In contrast, Wenceslas is a naive, self-indulgent, and unambitious monarch. His half-brother and King of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, senses weakness in his brother. Under the guise of an act of good will, Sigismund travels to Bohemia and kidnaps his half-brother. Without a king on the throne, Sigismund is free to plunder Bohemia and seize its riches.
In the midst of this chaos is you, Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Your peaceful life is shattered when a band of mercenaries, under orders from King Sigismund, burns your village to the ground. But fate has a sense of humor, and you find yourself among the few survivors of this massacre.
Without a home, family, or future, you find yourself in the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is building a resistance against the invading forces. Destiny draws you into this bloody conflict and throws you into the thick of a raging civil war, where you help fight for the future of Bohemia.
