ICARUS is a session-based survival game for up to eight players. Explore the harsh landscape of an alien planet where a terraforming attempt was once made and failed.

You will face the stern Icarus - the greatest mistake in the history of mankind. In pursuit of wealth, you will have to explore the area, gather, make tools and track animals.

Prospectors leave the orbital station for a strictly limited time and go to fight the difficult conditions of an alien planet, carry out faction tasks and search for rare and very valuable exo-resources. The survivors return to orbit and use the extracted exo-matter to develop new equipment to undertake an even more risky sortie with newly acquired knowledge. Those who fail to return are destined to disappear without a trace.

At one time, Icarus was planned to be turned into a second Earth, but after an unsuccessful attempt at terraforming, its atmosphere became poisonous, and humanity abandoned hope of colonizing a new planet. Icarus became an eternal subject for jokes, a symbol of the arrogance of a man who dared to aim for the unattainable. However, when xenobiologists found out that the reason for the failure was the so-called exomatter, interest in Icarus reawakened. The discovery of a fabulously expensive resource gave rise to a real gold rush and increased political tension on Earth, and prospectors flocked to Icarus.

Game Features:

Survival. The cruel world of Icarus seems ready to do anything to exhaust you to the limit and destroy you physically. Toxic atmosphere, dangerous animals, cruel storms - Icarus has no shortage of character. You will have to plan your actions, be it building a shelter, searching for oxygen, tracking game or stocking up on supplies for the road, and calculate the situation several steps ahead every second.
New Territories. A deceptively familiar, yet alien world awaits you. The first team of prospectors is allowed to work on a resource-rich area of over 64 km² with diverse natural conditions and many inconspicuous nooks and crannies. The entire territory is worked by hand. To survive, rely on the available resources: here you can cut down every tree and break every boulder.
Crafting and development. Master two technology trees: one on the planet and one in orbit. Homemade tools, buildings and mechanisms will help you survive the expedition to the surface of Icarus and achieve the given goal. Accumulate experience of staying on the planet, master unique skills and develop useful talents. Having returned to orbit with rare exoresources, you will be able to develop more advanced equipment. Choose which skills to develop and which of the new developments to take on the next sortie to complete the task faster, cover a greater distance, automate production or simply increase your chances of survival. There can be no trifles in this matter.
Countdown. The time you spend on Icarus is strictly limited: don't forget to watch your watch and appreciate every second. You choose the duration of the session: from a couple of hours to days or even weeks. Beware: if you don't make it to the shuttle that will take you to the orbital station in time, they won't come back for you. If you want, you can set aside time to build a permanent base. Each sortie has a specific goal that must be achieved within the allotted time, but how exactly to act is up to you.
Fortune favors the brave. Your character is the key to success. Explore the peculiarities of an alien planet, face new dangers, and force yourself to leave your comfort zone again and again. The cautious will survive, but fortune favors the brave. New talents, technologies, and exo-resources await those willing to risk everything. Are you ready to challenge Icarus?
